Booking your shipment

Booking is where a quote becomes a real shipment. Most of it is confirming what you already entered, but a few details — the loading method, the contacts, the customs paperwork — are the ones that decide whether the pickup goes smoothly. This section covers each step, plus the shortcuts for shipments you send often.

/01 Confirming your details A last review of everything before you book, then the shipment goes out in a single step. /02 Pickup and delivery addresses and hours Getting the addresses and open hours right, so the carrier finds the place and arrives while someone is there. /03 Pickup and delivery contacts Who the carrier calls at each end, and why a wrong number turns into a missed pickup. /04 Loading and offloading method Dock, forklift or lift gate — confirming how the freight gets on and off the truck at each end. /05 Pickup and delivery reference numbers Your own PO or order numbers on the paperwork, so the driver and the receiver can identify the freight. /06 Pickup and delivery notes Passing specific instructions through to the carrier's dispatch team. /07 Adding a credit card Add the company card yourself, or send a colleague a secure link to enter it for you. /08 Customs broker details Why a cross-border booking needs your broker, and how to choose one if you do not have one yet. /09 Uploading your customs documents Preparing and uploading the paperwork that keeps cross-border freight moving at the border. /10 Your pickup package What is in the package, how it reaches you, and why the driver needs these documents and no others. /11 Share pickup information A secure link so a warehouse or a colleague can see the pickup details and print the documents. /12 Same-day pickups What to have ready when the freight needs to leave today, from booking early to the customs paperwork. /13 Repeating a shipment Rebook something you have shipped before, with every detail pre-filled.
