Pickup and Delivery Addresses and Hours

The first step in finishing your booking is to enter details of the address and hours that the pickup location is open.

Address

Please make sure the address information is accurate and that you add any relevant additional details. For larger locations, remember to enter details such as which door to approach.

Keep in mind that for on-time pickups and deliveries, the driver needs to be able to successfully find and enter the location.

Hours

Besides the exact location, the carrier's dispatch team also needs to know the hours during which the location is open for pickup and delivery.

Give the Widest Window Possible

We recommend giving as wide a window as possible that represents when someone is actually on-site and able to give/receive freight.

If a truck gets stuck in traffic, and only a narrow window was given, dispatch might send the driver to a different location instead of yours (which they believe may be closed). This would mean your pickup or delivery would be rescheduled to the next business day.

Important Note on Pickup Timing

Please be aware that carriers typically don’t begin pickups until after 12:00 PM. If your location closes around 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM—the carrier may not make it in time. To avoid this issue, consider setting your closing hours at 5:00 PM, giving carriers ample time to reach your location.

If your closing time is approaching and the driver hasn’t arrived, contact us so we can follow up with the carrier and provide you with an ETA.
