Introduction to Payments

We know that dealing with the accounts receivable departments at brokers and carriers can be a frustrating experience, so we've designed FreightSimple to make your life easier. With simpler payments, you can concentrate on your main business rather than worrying about bills.

FreightSimple has a variety of payment options to suit your business. You can make payments by Canadian Direct Debit or credit card, and we offer credit terms on a customized basis.


Credit Card Payments

Most of our customers make payments via credit card when the shipment is booked.

Payments via credit card has many benefits:

  • You can be confident of the final amount you will pay.
  • Credit cards are a secure and safe payment method.
  • Your credit card allows you 30 days grace, essentially giving you NET30 billing with FreightSimple.
  • If there ever is a problem, you can feel safe in knowing you have your credit card company protecting you.
  • You do not need to wait for an account with FreightSimple, with no need to provide references or wait weeks for credit approval. You can book your shipment today.
  • And finally, you get to collect your credit card points, so it won't just be your freight that can take a trip!

Canadian Direct Debit

FreightSimple offers direct debit as a payment option. This has a variety of benefits:

  • Simple, secure, paperless and instant transactions.
  • Easy set up.
  • You do not need to wait for an account with FreightSimple, with no need to provide references or wait weeks for credit approval. You can book your shipment today.

Paying by EFT / Interac eTransfer (CAD) and ACH (USD)

FreightSimple offers flexible payment options for your convenience, including EFT/Interac eTransfer for Canadian dollars (CAD) and ACH Payments for U.S. dollars (USD).

Setting Up EFT / Interac eTransfer (CAD) Payments

  1. Contact our support team via live chat, email, or phone to request the setup instructions.
  2. Our team will provide you with the necessary banking details to complete your payment securely.
  3. Once you have the details, make your payment through your bank’s online transfer system.
  4. Ensure you include the invoice number or shipment reference in the transfer notes for proper allocation.

Setting Up ACH (USD) Payments

  1. For ACH payments, please reach out to our support team to receive the required banking information.
  2. Once you have the details, initiate the payment through your bank or financial institution.
  3. Add the invoice number or shipment reference as a memo to ensure the payment is correctly applied.

Contacting Support

Payment Confirmation

  • To find unpaid invoices and notify us of payments, please go to the 'Financial' tab, then 'Make Payments'. You will see your unpaid invoices.
  • Next, select 'Make Payment', and select the invoices you would like to pay now, and follow the instructions. Marking them paid here will immediately mark them as paid in our system, and immediately free up space on your credit limit.
  • Email remittance is not required if you notify us of payments on your dashboard as described above. If your system does require entering an email to send remittance after completing the transfer, you can send a confirmation email to billing@freightsimple.com.
