How payments work at FreightSimple

We designed FreightSimple to make payments simpler. This page is your overview of how payments work, the methods available to you, and how to choose the right one for your business.

  • Pay per shipment, no contracts. You pay only for what you ship. No monthly minimums, no annual commitments.
  • Invoices generated at booking. Every invoice is created the moment you book a shipment, so you never wait weeks to chase them down after delivery.
  • Pay from your bank or by card. Without Credit Terms, you pay at booking by credit card or Canadian Direct Debit. Established shippers can apply for Credit Terms to settle invoices later, including by EFT/ACH.
  • Multiple methods on the same account. You can have several payment methods on file and pick which to use per shipment.

Shipping regularly? We recommend paying straight from your bank, with Canadian Direct Debit for CAD or EFT/ACH for USD and CAD. It's the simplest way to keep payments running, with no card to keep on file.

Method Currency Setup Notes
Credit card USD CAD Instant Set up in minutes. 30 days of grace through your card.
Canadian Direct Debit CAD Instant Recommended Automatic CAD payments charged from your bank at booking.
EFT/ACH USD CAD Contact support Recommended Pay straight from your bank. ACH for USD, EFT/Interac for CAD.

Credit Terms

Credit Terms aren't a separate way to pay. They're an arrangement that lets established shippers settle invoices later, on NET 15 or NET 30 terms, using their usual payment method. Set up by approval after a quick conversation with our team.
