Additional Charges
As long as the details you provided when requesting quotes are accurate, then the price you see for the quote is the final price you will pay. Learn more about The FreightSimple Guarantee.
Sometimes things change or information may turn out to be incorrect - which might result in an additional charge.
Some examples of situations that may lead to additional charges are:
- The weight of the shipment was heavier than initially described
- The dimensions of the shipment were larger than initially described
- There were more units shipped than originally stated
- The pickup or delivery locations are different than quoted
- Different/additional services were required at pickup/delivery than originally requested
- The product that was shipped was different than what was quoted for
It is absolutely essential that you take care to be accurate when quoting. Ensure you are selecting the correct location types for pickup and delivery, and associated special services that they may require. (For example, a residential delivery will highly likely require a lift gate service.)

If an additional charge is needed due to a request that you are making yourself, we will inform you about the charge when you make the request.
Sometimes an additional charge is needed due to something that happens during transit. When we become aware of the need for an additional charge, we will let you know as soon as possible.
If you believe this charge is erroneous, our team will work on your behalf to challenge the charge with the carrier. Successfully challenging a charge will likely depend on you providing additional documentation about your shipment or locations. The FreightSimple team will assist you with this.
