Lift gate required
A lift gate, also known as a tailgate, is a platform at the rear of the truck used for loading and unloading freight at locations without docks or forklifts. If your freight is picking up or delivering to a location that does not have a way of getting the freight on or off the truck, select this option.
Be sure to check the needs of the pickup and drop-off locations to see if they require lift gate services to avoid any additional charges or delays.
Inside pickup or delivery
Standard freight service is curb-to-curb, meaning the driver will pick up or deliver freight from the dock, side of the road, or end of a driveway.
If you need the driver to bring your freight inside, there will be an additional charge for the service. Most importantly, not specifying it when needed may cause pickup or delivery delays.
Delivery appointment
If you need the carrier to make a specific appointment to deliver your freight, select this option. Please check this carefully, as shipments needing a delivery appointment without having one requested is one of the top causes of delivery issues.
