Delivery appointments
Some locations require an appointment before a driver can make a delivery.
When you need an appointment
Some locations require appointments to allow drivers to make deliveries. For example, a large warehouse may only allow trucks in at specific times. Select “Delivery appointment required” in these cases. Some locations may not have someone there to meet the driver if they arrive unannounced, so appointments are also necessary in these instances.

Avoiding charges and delays
Always check with your delivery locations to see if they require appointments to avoid any additional charges or delays. The carrier will call the delivery contact to arrange delivery, so be sure the delivery contact information is accurate. If you have any specific notes regarding delivery appointments, you can enter them into the notes section when finalizing your shipment booking.
- Watch for storage fees. If the delivery contact requests an appointment that is a significant number of days after the shipment arrives at the delivery terminal, storage fees might apply.
