Shopify
The FreightSimple app for Shopify shows your buyers real LTL freight rates at checkout. When the goods are ready, you book the carrier the buyer chose from inside your Shopify admin, and the tracking number goes back on the order.
The setup guide
The guide walks through everything, from installing the app to booking your first order. It is the place to start, and the place to come back to when rates don’t show up.
- Open the setup guide in your browser.
- Download it as a PDF to keep or share with your team.
Before you install
- A Shopify plan that allows third-party shipping rates. Shopify calls this carrier-calculated shipping. Per Shopify's documentation it is included on Advanced and Plus, and on Grow it is a monthly add-on or free with annual billing. Without it, Shopify never asks us for rates.
- A FreightSimple account. The app connects your store to it, so connecting asks you to sign in. If you don't have one yet, create one on the FreightSimple dashboard first.
- A SKU, a weight and dimensions for every product you ship by freight. The guide shows the quickest way to get them in.
